Corona Virus Update 12/13th May

Tennis was highlighted in the Prime Minister’s address on Sunday as an activity that could restart as lockdown is eased.

Since then the LTA has been seeking clarifications from government & then putting together guidelines/protocols to ensure the safety of everyone. This was not published until lunchtime today, not surprisingly there are a number of hoops to jump through before venues can be opened & venues are advised not to open until all safety measures are in place.

South Norfolk Council are, quite correctly, taking time to assess what is needed before making a decision about re-opening the courts. The club committee may also have to consider what it means for the club & if compliance is possible.

We know some members are eager to get back on court; we ask for your patience & we will do our best to get things moving but please be aware it is not yet a certainty & THE COURTS ARE STILL CLOSED.

Thank you
