Tennis was highlighted in the Prime Minister’s address on Sunday as an activity that could restart as lockdown is eased.
Since then the LTA has been seeking clarifications from government & then putting together guidelines/protocols to ensure the safety of everyone. This was not published until lunchtime today, not surprisingly there are a number of hoops to jump through before venues can be opened & venues are advised not to open until all safety measures are in place.
South Norfolk Council are, quite correctly, taking time to assess what is needed before making a decision about re-opening the courts. The club committee may also have to consider what it means for the club & if compliance is possible.
We know some members are eager to get back on court; we ask for your patience & we will do our best to get things moving but please be aware it is not yet a certainty & THE COURTS ARE STILL CLOSED.
